Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Resumes 68 MW Supply After July 2025 Flood Damage

The Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Project in Rasuwa, Nepal, has resumed operations at 61% capacity, reconnecting 68 MW to the national grid after flood damage from the Bhotekoshi River in July 2025. Following a five-month shutdown, the project has increased generation by 31 MW, with plans to reach its total capacity of 111 MW by June 2026. Once fully operational, it is expected to generate 613.87 million units of electricity annually, yielding approximately Rs 3.25 billion in revenue.
