RENK America Secures $18M Contract Modification for U.S. Army AMPV Program
RENK America LLC has been awarded a $17.99 million contract modification for the U.S. Army's Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) program, increasing the total contract value to $902.6 million, with work scheduled through December 31, 2028, in Muskegon, Michigan.
The modification includes the production of 65 hydro-mechanically propelled 800-horsepower transmissions, 90 transmission control modules, and related components. Funding for this modification comes from fiscal year 2025 and 2026 procurement accounts, with $17,998,120 obligated at the time of the award.
The Army continues to expand AMPV procurement, recently awarding BAE Systems a $198.4 million contract for additional vehicles. The AMPV serves to replace legacy M113 vehicles and is designed for various mission roles.
