Republic of Congo Targets Integrated Gas Economy by 2026 Amidst Crude Production Growth

The Republic of Congo plans to transition to an integrated gas economy by 2026, supported by a new Gas Code and significant upstream investments. Oil production is targeted at 500,000 bpd, with LNG capacity reaching 3 mtpa.
Major investments include TotalEnergies' $500 million expansion at Moho Nord and Perenco's $200 million Kombi 2 platform. The government aims to double power generation capacity to 1,500 MW by 2030, leveraging gas and hydropower resources.
