Rockville District Courthouse Achieves 50% Energy Reduction Through Retro-commissioning
NATURAL GAS
The Rockville District Courthouse in Maryland has achieved a 50% reduction in energy consumption following a retro-commissioning process by RMF Engineering and Control Sources. The upgrades, which addressed 34 deficiencies in the Building Automation System, resulted in significant decreases in both natural gas and electricity usage, yielding a $40,000 utility rebate and ongoing annual savings of $220,000. The project was recognized with the State Building Energy Award in 2021.
