DEFENSE
The Romanian government has allocated 1.6 billion lei to enhance the Ministry of National Defense's budget, focusing on military procurement and modernization of air defense systems to 'C-RAM' standards, akin to the Iron Dome. This includes 1.3 billion lei for military contracts and 300 million lei for infrastructure upgrades at Mihail Kogălniceanu base, alongside plans to acquire Patriot PAC-2 missiles and components of the Iron Dome. Currently, military acquisitions account for nearly 30% of Romania's national defense budget.
