The Royal Australian Air Force has upgraded its Boeing EA-18G Growler aircraft with the AN/ALQ-249 Next-Generation Jammer-Medium Band (NGJ-MB) pods, enhancing its electronic warfare capabilities in collaboration with the US Pentagon. The RAAF has ordered eight shipsets of these advanced jamming systems, with recent contracts totaling USD 368.3 million for production and an additional USD 580 million for future requirements. The integration of the NGJ-MB pods replaces older jamming systems, as showcased at RAAF Base Williamtown.
