Rwanda has welcomed 33 former fighters from various armed groups in the Democratic Republic of the Congo as part of its Demobilisation and Reintegration Commission's efforts. These individuals will undergo a three-month Pre-Discharge Orientation Programme at the Mutobo Demobilization and Reintegration Centre, which focuses on civic education, history, and vocational training. Since 2001, the program has successfully supported over 12,000 former combatants in reintegrating into society.
