Santa Rosa County Negotiates Land Swap with U.S. Navy for Economic Development
DEFENSE
Santa Rosa County, Florida, is negotiating with the U.S. Navy to acquire the 694-acre Santa Rosa Outlying Field to enhance its industrial park and spur economic growth, potentially adding 700 acres for development.
A $125,000 grant will fund a master plan, projected to create around 2,000 jobs, while ensuring that future developments remain focused on industrial use rather than residential housing. County commissioners are set to vote on the grant and continue discussions with the Navy regarding the land swap.
