Saudi Arabia is in discussions with South Korea to establish local production of the Poniard guided rocket, a 70-millimeter missile designed for maritime defense. This initiative aims to bolster the Royal Saudi Navy's capabilities, particularly following the integration of the system on their FPB 2200 patrol boats. The Poniard, which has been operational since 2017 and is also used by the UAE Navy, features advanced guidance for precision strikes and has undergone successful live-fire testing.
