Seven of Ukraine's 27 sugar mills are now implementing bioenergy projects, producing bioethanol, biogas, and biomethane. Significant contributors include the Teofipol Sugar Factory and the Globyne complex, which have capacities of 56 million and 50 million cubic metres per year, respectively, while Astarta's operations yield approximately 50-60 million cubic metres of biogas annually.
