Siemens Energy Reports Increased Demand for Gas Turbines Amid Rising Energy Needs

GAS TURBINES & ENGINESDATA AND AI INFRASTRUCTURE

Siemens Energy has seen a resurgence in profits due to a significant rise in demand for gas turbines, particularly linked to the energy requirements of data centers driven by artificial intelligence and cloud infrastructure. In Q1 2025, the company received orders for approximately 100 new gas turbines, with total orders expected to reach 200 units by the end of the year.

The company's operational profit doubled to around €1 billion, while net profit tripled to €746 million. The global gas demand is projected to peak in the 2040s, influenced by political support for fossil fuels, particularly in the U.S.
