Singapore's PUB to Develop 130MWp Floating Solar Farm by 2029
SOLAR ENERGY
Singapore's national water agency, PUB, plans to develop a 130MW-peak floating solar farm by 2029 to enhance its solar capacity and reduce carbon emissions. This project aims to help meet the country's solar target of 2GWp by 2030, with construction set to begin in 2026, pending environmental assessments and government approval. The initiative exceeds PUB's earlier projection of 100MWp for the site, which also functions as a reservoir for flood control and rainwater collection.
