Sonic Fire Tech has launched its Sonic Home Defense system in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and Lake Tahoe, utilizing infrasound technology to prevent home ignitions from wildfires without water or chemicals. Recognized as a CES 2026 Innovation Awards Honoree, this system autonomously detects and neutralizes embers, which cause over 90% of wildfire-related ignitions.

The technology aligns with IBHS and California State Zone Zero Perimeter Defense guidelines and aims to mitigate rising insurance costs for homeowners in fire-prone areas. Community demo events began in November, with homeowners and builders invited to participate. Sonic Fire Tech's system provides real-time alerts and operates off-grid using backup batteries.
