South Korea and Britain held bilateral defense talks in London to strengthen cooperation in the arms industry, focusing on partnerships between South Korean shipbuilder Hanwha Ocean and British firm Babcock, as well as collaboration on satellite technology between Hanwha Systems and BAE Systems. Led by Jeong Gyu-heon from South Korea's Defense Acquisition Program Administration and Oliver Harry from Britain's Department for Business and Trade, the discussions included a proposal for a new memorandum of understanding to enhance defense science and technology cooperation, with both sides agreeing to expedite its signing.
