South Korea Commissions 558 New Officers at First Joint Service Academy Ceremony

On February 20, 558 new officers were commissioned at the first joint ceremony for South Korea's Army, Navy, and Air Force academies in South Chungcheong Province. This event marks the first integration of the three service academies and reflects the Lee Jae-myung government's initiative to unify military training.

Defense Minister Ahn Gyu-baek emphasized the singular mission of defending the Republic of Korea. The ceremony included various traditional elements and recognized top graduates. The new officers will complete initial training before assignment to frontline units.
