A rehearsal for helicopter landings was conducted by the Sri Lanka Air Force at the Kandy President's House ahead of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake's visit. This visit, scheduled for today, includes the launch of two development projects: the Mahaiyawa tunnel and the completion of the Getambe flyover.

The helicopter landing area was previously used by former President J.R. Jayewardene, with subsequent presidents landing at a different location.
