State Development Bank to Fund Kulanak Hydropower Plant Construction in Kyrgyzstan

The Kyrgyz State Development Bank will finance the Kulanak hydropower plant construction in Naryn region to address electricity shortages. The 100-megawatt plant is expected to generate 435 million kilowatt-hours annually, reducing the electricity deficit by 11%. The project aims to enhance Kyrgyzstan's position in the regional market, create jobs, and support agricultural growth through improved irrigation.
