Stream BioEnergy Ireland Limited has proposed a multi-million euro anaerobic digestion facility in County Monaghan, designed to process 99,000 tonnes of poultry manure annually and convert it into biomethane. The project aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 42,000 tonnes CO2 equivalent per year and will include various infrastructure improvements, including local road enhancements to accommodate increased traffic. The facility is set to operate under an EPA Industrial Emissions Licence and connect to the national gas transmission network.
