Strive Masiyiwa, through Econet InfraCo, has launched a 100MW solar industrial park near Robert Mugabe International Airport in Harare, aimed at improving Zimbabwe's energy security and attracting manufacturing. This project is part of a broader strategy that includes a 600MW floating solar plant on Lake Kariba and a renewed commitment to the 2,400MW Batoka Gorge Hydro-Electric Scheme with Zambia, all designed to address chronic power shortages and enhance Zimbabwe's renewable energy capacity.
