SUEZ will manage drinking water, sewerage, and sanitation services for Hérault Méditerranée Urban Community starting July 3, 2026, under a 15-year contract supported by a €55 million investment from Banque des Territoires. The initiative focuses on energy transition and water resource preservation, featuring a €14 million upgrade to the Posidonia wastewater treatment plant for biomethane production and plans to recycle up to 600,000 m³ of treated wastewater annually. SUEZ aims to enhance network efficiency to over 91% and implement smart meters for 18,000 users by 2026.
