Sweden Allocates $440 Million for Unmanned Military Drone Systems

Sweden is set to invest 4 billion crowns ($437 million) over two years in unmanned military drone systems, including attack and surveillance drones, as well as electronic warfare capabilities. An additional 1.3 billion crowns will be allocated for military satellites, with deliveries expected between 2026 and 2028. This initiative aims to bolster Sweden's defense capabilities in response to regional security challenges, drawing lessons from the Ukraine conflict.
