Sweden's Environmental Court has approved Sweden Ballistics to build a TNT production facility in Nora Municipality, with construction set to begin in 2026 and a planned production capacity of 4,500 tons starting in 2028. This move aims to bolster Europe's defense capabilities amid rising ammunition demand following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, as Poland's Nitro-Chem is currently the only TNT producer on the continent.
