NATURAL GAS
Syria plans to increase its natural gas production from 7 million cubic metres to 15 million cubic metres by the end of 2026. Energy Minister Mohamed al-Bashir announced this target as part of efforts to address energy shortages exacerbated by a 14-year civil war that has severely damaged the country's energy infrastructure. The announcement was made during a ministerial meeting of the Arab Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (AOPEC) in Kuwait, underscoring Syria's commitment to resolving its energy crisis.
