Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense (MND) has allocated NT$40.9 billion (US$1.3 billion) to enhance disaster communication systems and military facilities, focusing on procuring high-throughput satellite devices and tactical radios. This budget, representing 20% of defense expenditures, aims to improve national security resilience and address communication challenges during disasters. Additionally, the Coast Guard Administration will receive NT$14.8 billion for advanced surveillance technologies to bolster maritime security and response capabilities.
