Taurus Canada Receives $10M Grant for Innovative Carbon Capture and Renewable Natural Gas Facility in Alberta
NATURAL GASBIOFUELSCARBON CAPTURE
Taurus Canada Renewable Natural Gas Corp. has been awarded a $10 million grant from the Alberta government to build an integrated anaerobic digestion and carbon sequestration facility in Coaldale, Alberta. The facility will convert 130,000 tonnes of livestock manure into 360,000 gigajoules of renewable natural gas annually, enough to power approximately 4,500 homes. The project, in partnership with KCL Cattle Company and Kasko Cattle Co., is expected to be operational by January 2028 and is part of a larger $28 million investment in renewable technology initiatives in Alberta.
