Thai Forces Capture Chinese GAM-102LR Missiles from Cambodian Troops
Thai military forces have captured multiple GAM-102LR guided anti-tank missile systems from Cambodian troops near Hill 677. The GAM-102LR, produced by Poly Defense, is a fifth-generation missile system introduced earlier this year and is notable for its fire-and-forget capabilities and multi-purpose use.
Reports indicate that the Thai soldiers secured a significant quantity of these missiles after overrunning Cambodian positions. Each missile weighs about 52 kilograms and is designed for high-accuracy strikes against armored vehicles and other targets.
The estimated cost per missile is approximately $112,000. This seizure marks a tactical advantage for Thailand and a material loss for Cambodia, amid escalating confrontations that have included the capture of armored vehicles on both sides.
