Toyota Motor Corporation and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) are collaborating to develop the Lunar Cruiser, a manned lunar rover set for launch in 2029. Utilizing regenerative fuel cell technology, the vehicle aims to support sustainable lunar exploration by enabling longer missions and reducing dependency on Earth resupply, while also advancing fuel cell technology for future space and terrestrial applications.
