Türkiye to Expand LNG Gasification Capacity with New FSRUs in Hatay and Mediterranean
NATURAL GAS
Türkiye is set to double its floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) capacity in Hatay and construct an additional terminal on the Mediterranean coast, as announced by Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar. The new FSRU will have a daily regasification capacity of 28 million cubic meters, raising the country's total capacity to 200 million cubic meters and helping to meet over half of Türkiye's liquefied natural gas needs. A new FSRU will also be built between Gazipaşa and Anamur to further enhance the energy infrastructure.
