In 2025, Türkiye's ports achieved a record cargo handling of 553.26 million tons, marking a 4% increase from the previous year, as reported by Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu. Notable growth was seen in incoming cargo, which rose by 5.6%, while liquid bulk cargo dominated the categories at 169.7 million tons. Major ports like Aliağa, Kocaeli, and Iskenderun led in volume, and the sector is poised for further expansion in 2026.
