DEFENSE

Two Rivers Housing has contributed over 115 gifts and £500 to the Forest of Dean Salvation Army Christmas Present Appeal, benefiting local families in need during the festive season. The gifts, including toys and clothing for children aged 0 to 16, were delivered to the Salvation Army Hub in Broadwell.

The £500 donation comes from the Travis Perkins Social Value Legacy Fund, generated through the housing association's material purchases. This fund also supports various community projects in Gloucestershire, including kitchen workstations for the Salvation Army Hub and a community larder in Sedbury. Two Rivers Housing aims to build 1,000 new affordable homes by 2028 and has already completed 687 as of March 31, 2024.
