UAH Secures $14.2 Million Federal Funding for Exploration Plaza Expansion

DEFENSE

The University of Alabama System and UAH have received $14.2 million in federal funding for the Exploration Plaza expansion, thanks to U.S. Senator Katie Britt and U.S. Rep.

Dale Strong. The funding aims to enhance research, innovation, and student opportunities in Huntsville, with plans for a mixed-use innovation district covering 58 acres. The project is expected to generate economic activity and strengthen UAH's role in the local high-tech economy.
