UGI Utilities Seeks 9% Increase in Natural Gas Rates for Pennsylvania Customers
NATURAL GAS
UGI Utilities has requested a nearly 9% increase in natural gas rates for Pennsylvania customers, seeking to raise $99.4 million annually to fund $468 million in system upgrades. If approved, residential bills for an average customer would rise from $113.64 to $123.55, with commercial and industrial customers facing smaller increases. The new rates are proposed to take effect on March 29, 2026, pending Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission review, and UGI plans to contribute $1 million annually to assist low-income customers with heating costs.
