The UK government is investing over £21.5 million in 15 farm innovation projects to reduce agricultural emissions and enhance productivity through Defra's Farming Innovation Programme. Notably, the InFaba methane reduction initiative will receive £1.49 million to develop UK-grown faba bean-based feed aimed at lowering methane emissions from dairy cows. This funding is part of a larger commitment to invest at least £200 million in agricultural innovation by 2030, focusing on improving resource efficiency and supporting rural growth.
