The UK Ministry of Defence has awarded QinetiQ a £205 million contract for five years of technical and engineering support for the RAF's Typhoon fighter jet fleet, securing 250 jobs across the UK. This contract will enhance the Typhoon's operational capabilities, including upgrades to the European Common Radar System (ECRS) Mk2, and follows a previous £8 billion deal for 20 Typhoons sold to Türkiye. The UK government is also planning to increase defense spending to 2.6% of GDP by 2027.
