University of Iowa Receives $1.5 Million from DoD for Materials Science Center Expansion

The University of Iowa has received nearly $1.5 million from the U.S. Department of Defense to expand its materials science center, which will enhance training for students and faculty while supporting research in quantum technologies. The funding will enable the acquisition of new fabrication equipment and improve the Materials Analysis, Testing, and Fabrication (MATFab) Facility, positioning it as a regional hub for advanced research and training programs.
