U.S. Air Force Awards Contract to Nokia, Skydweller, and Tangram Flex for Airborne Network

The U.S. Air Force has awarded a contract to Nokia Federal Solutions, Skydweller Aero, and Tangram Flex to develop a rapid-deployment airborne private network, funded by the Air Force Research Laboratory through 2027. The initiative will integrate Nokia's 5G technology with Skydweller's solar-powered aircraft and utilize Tangram Flex's interoperability software to enhance communication capabilities for military and commercial operations.
