U.S. Approves $2.3 Billion Arms Deal with Singapore for Maritime Patrol Aircraft

The U.S. State Department has approved a $2.3 billion arms deal with Singapore, which includes four Boeing P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft and eight MK 54 lightweight torpedoes. This agreement, aimed at enhancing Singapore's defense capabilities and interoperability with U.S. forces, will also provide training and maintenance support from U.S. representatives. The aircraft are expected to be operational by the early 2030s.
