U.S. Army Awards Sikorsky $433M for UH-60M and HH-60M Helicopters Under Multi-Year Contract
The U.S. Army has awarded Sikorsky a $433 million contract modification for UH-60M Black Hawk and HH-60M helicopters as part of a five-year procurement agreement initiated in June 2022. This agreement aims to procure up to 120 H-60 Black Hawk helicopters with a total value potentially reaching $4.4 billion if all options are exercised.
Deliveries started in July 2023 and will continue through 2027, aligning production with operational requirements. The UH-60M serves as the Army's primary tactical utility helicopter, while the HH-60M is dedicated to medical evacuation. The ongoing procurement reflects the Army's strategy to maintain operational capability into the 2030s and preserve industrial capacity at Sikorsky's facility in Connecticut.
