In 2025, the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Aviation & Missile Center underwent major reforms, including a workforce reduction of 788 personnel and a consolidation of operations from six to four locations.
These changes were implemented amid a government shutdown and aligned the Center with the new Portfolio Acquisition Executive structure to enhance efficiency in military capabilities acquisition. Key initiatives include transitioning the Autonomous Multi-Domain Launcher and collaborating with 35 industry partners on the Direct Support Fires Technology project.
