US Army Pauses XM30 MICV Development Amid Program Review and Market Exploration
DEFENSE
The US Army has halted the XM30 Mechanized Infantry Combat Vehicle program to conduct a thorough review. General Dynamics Land Systems and American Rheinmetall were expected to deliver prototypes but faced delays.
The Army is considering alternative vehicles and has issued a request for information to explore new partners and solutions. The goal is to accelerate the replacement of the M2/M3 Bradley, with operational readiness originally targeted for 2029 now deemed unrealistic.
