The US Department of Energy has approved the Preliminary Documented Safety Analysis for Antares' Mark-0 reactor, a project under the DOE's Reactor Pilot Program. Founded in 2023, Antares aims to have a low-power demonstration unit operational by July 4, 2026, with plans for future models and significant funding secured for development and contracts with the Department of Defense and NASA. Testing will take place at Idaho National Laboratory.
