U.S. House Passes $189 Million for Camp Lejeune in FY 2026 National Defense Authorization Act
The U.S. House approved the FY 2026 National Defense Authorization Act with a vote of 312-112, allocating over $189 million to Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. The bill, previously passed by the U.S.
Senate, authorizes $900.6 billion for national defense and incorporates various executive orders and legislative proposals from the Trump administration. Specifically, Camp Lejeune will receive $90 million for an operations facility, $51.4 million for Special Operations Forces support and motor transport expansion, and $48.28 million for amphibious combat vehicle shelters.
Additional funding includes $40 million for Fleet Readiness Center East and $15 million for Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point for F-35 squadrons. The legislation also includes a 3.8% pay raise for military personnel and authorizes over $1 billion to combat drug trafficking.
