The U.S. Navy has submitted its Final Amended Analysis for EA-18G Growler operations at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, concluding that relocating the Growler community to Naval Air Facility El Centro is not a viable option.
The analysis indicates that while Preferred Alternative 2A would increase annual greenhouse gas emissions, it would not significantly affect global levels or Washington's reduction goals, and found no major adverse effects on local bird species. Additionally, it noted potential minor impacts of aircraft noise on childhood development, but long-term effects remain uncertain.
