USC Aiken and S.C. National Guard Sign Cyber Defense Collaboration Agreement

DEFENSE

The University of South Carolina Aiken and the South Carolina National Guard signed a Memorandum of Understanding on February 6 to enhance cyber defense training. The partnership includes the construction of a $31.8 million Cyber Integration Center and a $13 million Readiness Center on campus, aimed at workforce development and education in cybersecurity.

Groundbreaking for the facilities occurred last spring. The initiative is part of a broader commitment to technological and workforce advancement in South Carolina.
