Van Oord has completed a coastal maintenance project at Noord-Beveland, reinforcing the Zeeland coast with 1 million cubic meters of sand using the LNG dredger Vox Apolonia, which operated on 100% Bio-LNG. This initiative, part of the national Coastal Care program, supports Rijkswaterstaat's emission reduction goals and is backed by Van Oord's Green Fuel Fund. The company plans to continue similar beach nourishment projects in Goeree-Westkop and Heemskerk in 2026.
