On December 9, 2025, the Veterans Community Project Longmont celebrated the completion of its tiny home village for veterans, featuring 26 homes, including five for families. This initiative, aimed at addressing veteran homelessness, began in 2016 and saw construction start in summer 2022 after Longmont's resolution to eliminate veteran homelessness. Residents, like Army veteran Patrick Putnam, have found stability and community support, with plans to volunteer and further strengthen community ties.
