Vicksburg Secures $314,000 for Water Infrastructure Improvements

The City of Vicksburg has secured $314,000 from the Mississippi Major Economic Impact Authority for water infrastructure improvements associated with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Engineer Research and Development Center, requiring a local match of $71,000.
The project, aimed at enhancing critical systems for both ERDC operations and the local community, will extend through 2027. Additionally, the City of Corning has been awarded $984,000 in federal funding for replacing outdated boilers at its wastewater treatment plant to ensure safe operations and protect waterways.
