The Vidraru dam reservoir is scheduled to begin refilling at the end of March, with projections indicating that hydropower operations could resume by October, following extensive refurbishment works valued at over 200 million euros. The refurbishment, led by Hidroelectrica, includes over 20 active construction sites focusing on hydromechanical equipment, with expected completion by March 31. The reservoir has been completely emptied for the first time since 1974, with a total volume of 465 million cubic meters utilized by the Vidraru Hydropower Plant.
