The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) will commence roller-compacted-concrete (RCC) works on the Diamer Bhasha and Dasu dams this year. WAPDA Chairman Lt Gen (r) Muhammad Saeed reviewed the progress during site visits.

The Diamer Bhasha Dam is set to be completed by 2030, while the Dasu Hydropower Project aims for electricity generation to start in 2028. Several local development projects are also underway to uplift the project areas.
