The Belfair Bypass project in North Mason, formally known as the Highway 3 Freight Corridor, has been restored in Washington's revised transportation budget. The project aims to create a new 6-mile route for Highway 3 to enhance traffic flow.

The budget now allocates $43.803 million for 2025-2027 and $24.653 million for 2027-2029. This update follows concerns over potential delays in funding, with local representatives advocating for the project's urgency to accommodate increased traffic from Navy construction at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.
